When I do a local data rate test, it's a real pain in the ass, and the data rates I get exceed my expectations. My Wi-Fi (Freebox) is set to 5Ghz with a bandwidth of 80Mhz, ("AC" Wi-Fi). I was a bit fooled, because I need my PC to kick ass on upload too. Nevertheless it does the job, much more appreciable speed now. Another negative point, 250mbit/s is not 1000mbit/s either. A small negative point, the length of the wire for the mobile antenna could be extended by 50cm easily, it's a bit tight to put it where you want. I finally found the solution: the antennas connected to the card were probably not picking up the wifi, because on the mobile antenna provided, the connection is close to 250mbit/s and stable now. However, the speed with the wifi card did not exceed 50mbit/s with interruptions. I went from a real ADSL speed of 15Mbit/s to a theoretical fibre speed of 1000Mbit/s. I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to use it again. I've been using this card for a while now and it's a great product. I almost gave it a bad mark, but in the end it didn't. I therefore opted for this card with very good reviews. I am trying it out, but still seems not to correct the problem.Having changed my ADSL box for a fibre offer, the installation does not allow me to have a wire connection at the moment.

Today the Asus Technical Service respondent, they send me a new driver and asked me to test it out, here is the file. But your version is even newer so I will try it out. I observed to have more stable connection with my router at 1300Mbps speed instead of bouncing between 702/877Mbps - to be honest I can't utilise so much speed anyway =) It works great and to be honest there is no need for Asus WLAN utility because same thing does Windows - it could be useful in earlier version where You could adjust power settings but in my case it didn't work anyway. I was having problems with spam in system log every second after installation of Asus utility until I made change in registry I posted above.īut after Your post I tried to find newer driver so I downloaded newest dated at from here - no adds or other useless things when trying download so it's good.

Well I will upgrade to Windows 10, so I hope they remove the problem at least when they make a new driver compatible with Windows 10. I got the answer that the IT team will analyze the Problem and contact me back. I contacted the Official Asus support (Germany) and gave them a detailed report. Prior to that I had a Realtek Wlan Driver. I never had such a Error in the Event Viewer nor did I have BSOD before I plugged the PCE-AC68 WLAN Adapter in my PC. That is what I understood from my research throughout the internet searching for a solution to this problem. The problem I described here is actually very common and in all cases (90%) caused by the PCE-AC68 driver. And also sometimes gives me BSOD stating something about the file bcmwl63a.sys.

The thing is the PCE-AC68 Drivers (2.0.8.8) works fine for me too but it generates a lot of Errors in the Event Viewer (Event ID 7000).

Ok that is interesting, so you are running also on Windows 8.1 (64 Bit) but don't get the errors in the Windows Event Viewer. I will experiment a bit more with this adapter and hope that in the mean time Asus brings out a newer Driver version for the PCE-AC68 Wireless Adapter. But as expected the Asus Wlan Control Center Utility does not work anymore. In the tool inSSIDer Home if I remember correctly I see a better signal strength. I installed the, and everything seems to work good if not better.

I tried this out, but in Windows 8.1 when I do this the network won't open anymore when I click on it. I have the latest driver from the (Version 2.0.8.8). Hi, does anyone know where can i download the driver for windows 10? Cant seem to find on asus website. I see that there is a newer version of the BROADCOM Adapter at this website (),but I am not sure if I should download it or wait for the PCE-AC68 Driver Update? () Has anyone experienced a similar problem with this wireless adapter?

So I thought that the Problem might go away if I update the BROADCOM Adapter. In the MEMORY.DMP I get the message that the Problem is caused by: SystemRoot system32 DRIVERS bcmwl63a.sys A dump was saved in: C: WINDOWS MEMORY.DMP. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.
